Sunday, September 6, at the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) office from Tel Aviv took place the seminar "From Potential to Practice - Future Agriculture in Romania" organized by the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) and the Economic Department of Israel Embassy in Bucharest. The meeting was attended by leading companies in Israel interested in providing agricultural technologies, experience and know-how in Romania and a delegation from Bucharest of which included Mrs. Otilia Manta, President / CEO Romanian Group for Investment Consulting (RGIC), Mr. Bogdan Bazga, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Food Security Expert, National Coordinator OECD / CoAg & Trade Agriculture Department and Mrs. Cristiana Constantinescu - Director, the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA). On behalf of the Israel Embassy in Romania, Economic Department, was present Mrs. Raluca Barbulescu, Trade Officer. The seminar was extremely useful both, the Israeli companies who have found out a series of news about the potential of romanian agriculture and about cooperation opportunities in this sector, as well as for romanian guests who were able to discover directly from representatives of Israeli companies some details about the offer of Israelian technology and know-how in agriculture.
Regarding this seminar, Otilia Manta says: "Today's meeting was extremely useful and beneficial, as fact are all the meetings we have with our partners and friends in Israel. Every time when are taking place such romanian - israelian events related to agriculture, where we participate as a consultant on agribusiness of the Israel Embassy in Bucharest, I remind to the audiance an aspect, namely that the arable land and the human resource of our agriculture together with Israelian agrotechnology - one of the most modern and efficient in the world - can contribute to the development of Romanian agriculture and its transformation into a powerful sector, competitive on european and global market. The same thing I underlined today, at this seminar. The israelian companies expressed their interest and openness to bilateral cooperation with partners from Romania in the field of agriculture. Others similar events will follow, probably the first occasion will be Indagra Exhibition, at the end of October! "
