The Commercial Department of the Israeli Embassy to Bucharest, the Israeli Institute for export and International Cooperation and Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC), is organizing on November 11, 2010, within Indagra 2010, the Israeli Romanian Business Forum in the fields of agriculture and rural development, an event which unfolds within Shavit Programme Romania.

The forum is attended by Israeli companies specialized in technology and equipment for greenhouses and dairy cows as well as by farmers and owners of greenhouses and dairy cow farms in Romania. Within the forum, His Excellence Mr. Dan Ben-Eliezer- Ambassador of Israel in Bucharest will speak for the first time at an event unfolded within Shavit Programme. Speeches will be held also by Ms Yifat Inbar – Economic and Commercial Attaché of the Israeli Embassy to Bucharest, Mr. dr. Ing. Gheorghe Reman – Director within the Ministry of Agroculture and Rural Development, Mr. Ciprian Alic – deputy general manager technical implementation within APDRP, Ms Otilia Manta – President/CEO of Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC). After the official speeches, the Forum continues with the presentations session of the Israeli companies. In the second part of the Forum bilateral meetings are going to take place between the Israeli and Romanian companies, on the two strategic fields: greenhouses and dairy cow farms.

Regarding this event, Ms Otilia Manta, President/CEO of Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC), declared: "the Israeli Romanian Business Forum continues the series of bilateral meetings unfolded within Shavit Programme Romania, a programme which is in its second year of implementation in Romania. During this period, actions taken in Romania and Israel, under the Shavit, have resulted in designing and launching several integrated strategic projects financed by European funds (INTEGRATED PROGRAMME FOR GREENHOUSES FOR 200 HECTARES IN ROMANIA, as it is known on the Israeli-Romanian market), in co financing programmes, in transfer of equipments and technology from Israel and in unbinding services. The projects started within this strategic partnership continues with implementation in 2010 and, further on, in 2011."

The Israeli Romanian Business Forum unfolds within Shavit Programme, a special partnership between the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Israeli Institute for Export & International Cooperation, the Economic and Commercial department of the Israeli Embassy in Bucharest and Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC), in order to promote cooperation between the Israeli and Romanian companies in the field of agro technology.
