One of the most important events developed in the IndAgra Farm Exhibition 2009 was the Israeli - Romanian Business Forum in agricultural technology, event organized by Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC) and the Economic and Trade Department of the Embassy of Israel in Romania.
Held in the presence of his Excellency, Mr. David OREN, The Ambassador of Israel in Bucharest, and Mr. Yitzhack Kiriati, Director of Agricultural Technology, Water and Environment in the Israeli Institute for Export and International Cooperation from Tel Aviv, Stefan MANTEA, General Manager ANCA, Ciprian ALIC, Deputy General Manager APDRP, Septimiu STOICA President of the Romanian Commodities Exchange, the Israeli - Romanian Business Forum attracted over 120 guests, farmers, business people from the agricultural sector, representatives of professional associations and of the employers in agriculture as well of the Israeli companies in the Shavit Program, media.
By their presence in large numbers at the event, the farmers demonstrated that no matter the current financial crisis, they are interested in discovering solutions and ways to develop their activity and so move over this period. One of the solutions can be cooperation with Israeli firms, famous for their experience and performance of agricultural technology that they have in sectors such as greenhouses, irrigation and dairy farms. The Israeli - Romanian Business Forum was followed by a session of bilateral meetings that representatives of ten companies of Israel have discussed with business partners in Romania.
According to Mrs. Otilia MANTA, President/ CEO of Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta (RGIC) this forum: "Continues the series of events unfolded by Grupul Roman pentru Investitii si Consultanta which aims to create collaborative and partnership relationships between companies from Israel in the areas of agriculture and regional development and Romanian farmers."
