Thursday, January 26th 2012 at 10 a.m. at Complex Herestrau in Bucuresti took place the regional conference and workshop The importance of local and regional partnerships in the sustainable development of human resources in rural areas organized by ANTREC Romania as partner and SC RGIC CONSULTANTA SRL as beneficiary within the project “Human resource, a valuable investment in the Romanian rural tourism!" ID 36694 Invest in People! co-financed by the European Social Fund through Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013.
The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, nongovernmental organizations which act in the region and have as main activity the development of human resources, and by representatives of academic institutions and universities. The conference debuted with a presentation by Maria Stoian, honorary president of ANTREC Romania, who stressed out the importance of local partnerships in the development of the project and the role ANTREC Romania plays in this regard.
This presentation of the project was made by Bogdan Guta, communication expert (RGIC Consultanta), followed by speeches from Paula Stoicea, national coordinating expert (ANTREC Romania), Magda Petre, regional coordinating expert (Cardinal Jobs) and Cristina Vicol, communication expert (Euro-Link Consultants). Stefan Mantea, director of the territory network RGIC, stressed out the importance of education in promoting partnerships. Guest speakers were Dragos Raducan, vice-president of Romanian Tourism Employers' Federation, and Felicia Stanciou, professor at the Marketing Faculty, The Economic Studies Academy in Bucharest.
For Ms Otilia Manta, Project manager, the partnerships concluded from the beginning of the project represent a key factor for the success of the project. “The partnerships concluded by ANTREC Romania with the main local and regional actors from both the public and private sectors involved in the rural tourism or human resources development, are extremely useful for an ongoing extensive project such as ours, and are made relevant not only by their amount, but by their quality. Good communication and good collaboration between partners contribute to the fulfillment of the project’s objectives and to its long term sustainability after implementation because an interregional network of institutions is created, contributing at the increase in quality of professional competences"

The conference followed by a workshop is part of a series of activities organized within the project, whose main objective is the development of human resources in the field of rural tourism. The project, which started in August 2009 and runs until august 2012, aims to realize training programmes for 830 people from rural areas in the regions North-West, North-East, West, South-Muntenia and Center, that have been selected from a target group of 2030 people.
The trainees are employees from rural tourism, as well as unemployed people or people engaged in subsistence agriculture, in order to increase efficiency of employment process in non agricultural occupations. The beneficiaries will attend courses for occupations such as guest house manager, maid, cook and waiter.
The conference and workshop will be attended by representatives of local authorities and nongovernmental organizations which act in the region South-Muntenia and have as main activity the development of human resources, and local actors on the market of rural tourism: guest house and cottage owners.

Thursday, January 19th 2012 at the conference room of the CARA Hotel in Pitesti took place the regional conference and workshop The importance of local and regional partnerships in the sustainable development of human resources in rural areas organized by Cardinal Jobs as partner and SC RGIC CONSULTANTA SRL as beneficiary within the project “Human resource, a valuable investment in the Romanian rural tourism!" ID 36694 Invest in People! co-financed by the European Social Fund through Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013.
The event was attended by over 35 guests, representatives of local authorities and nongovernmental organizations which act in the region and have as main activity the development of human resources, and local actors on the market of rural tourism: guest house and cottage owners, as well as representatives of the partners involved in the project.
The conference on the importance of local partnerships debuted with a presentation by Magda Petre (Cardinal Jobs), regional coordinating expert for South-Muntenia region. This introduction was followed by speeches on the project’s objectives and on the roles of local and regional partnerships by Bogdan Guta, communication expert (RGIC Consultanta), Paula Stoicea, national coordinating expert (ANTREC Romania) and Cristina Vicol, communication expert (Euro-Link Consultants). Iulian Nicolae, executive director at the County Employment Agency, Arges, presented a report on the situation of the labor force in Arges county, the main problems faced and the solutions for people in search of an workplace.
The conference was followed by a workshop moderated by Magda Petre, during which were addressed specific situations related to human resources from rural tourism in Arges county and in South-Muntenia region. In this context it was pointed out the role that regional and local partnerships play in the sustainable development of the region, but also in ensuring continuity of project’s objectives in the period post-implementing.
